Experience That Helps You Navigate Care

For more than 30 years, I have worked across multiple parts of the healthcare system as a Registered Nurse and Certified Case Manager.

My experience includes hospital nursing, home care, discharge planning, transitional care, insurance, utilization and care management, and coordination for individuals with complex medical needs. That background allows me to look beyond one appointment or diagnosis and help families understand the bigger picture.

Professional Background

Hospital Nursing
Experience in medical-surgical, cardiac, hematology and oncology settings, caring for adults and children with complex and life-changing conditions.

Home Care
Years of experience providing and coordinating care in the home, where families are often responsible for managing medications, equipment, appointments, services, and changing care needs.

Discharge & Transitional Care
Experience helping individuals move safely from hospital to home and coordinating the services, equipment, follow-up, and education needed after discharge.

Insurance & Healthcare Navigation
Management experience within major insurance organizations, providing insight into authorization processes, coverage decisions, and the systems families often struggle to navigate.

Care Management
Certified Case Manager with experience supporting individuals with chronic and complex conditions including heart failure, diabetes, COPD, oncology, autoimmune conditions, and complex wound care.

  • WHY THIS MATTERS TO YOU

Complex care rarely involves just one provider or one decision.

My background allows me to help families:

    • identify what needs attention first

    • understand recommendations and options

    • coordinate across providers and services

    • prepare for appointments and transitions

    • recognize gaps in care

    • keep follow-up from falling through the cracks

Professional Experience. Personal Understanding.

My understanding of caregiving is also personal.

I have helped manage complex care for members of my own family, including hospitalizations, specialists, insurance issues, home care, changing living arrangements, and end-of-life care.

That experience reinforced something I had already seen throughout my nursing career: families are often expected to manage extraordinarily complicated situations without having been taught how.

Manage with Care was created to help bridge that gap.
